obviously unpopular opinion

i’m so tired of all the “ugh this movie is so whitewashed” and “oh i hope that johanna won’t be white because wow i really don’t want catching fire to be whitewashed” posts on my dash.

just get over the fact that they chose white actors. they can’t say “oh wait, no, you’re white. you’re a great actor, but we can’t choose you, have a nice day”. we just have to face the fact that the actors can’t fit everyone’s expectations and wishes. 

also, don’t underestimate the power of makeup.
